Ryan was first exposed to Pilates in 2001 as a way to help him manage his chronic back pain from Scheuermann's kyphosis and nerve damage as a result of a spinal tap as an infant. Ryan was introduced to the method by Janie Parker, previous principal of the Houston Ballet.
Ryan has completed several Pilates teacher training sessions. Through Balanced Body, Ryan has completed the Comprehensive Program, Balanced Body Barre® Instructor Training Fundamentals, MOTR® Comprehensive and CoreAlign® 1: Foundations. Through Fletcher Pilates, Ryan has completed the Fletcher Foundational Program and is a Fletcher Pilates® Qualified Teacher. Additionally, Ryan is currently enrolled in the Fletcher Professional Program.
Ryan is a passionate learner and has several fitness and wellness certifications in addition to having learned directly from some of the Pilates industry's top professionals. Many of whom, I consider to be among the best.
His approach to working with clients addresses movement, nutrition and wellness coaching because a healthy, happy body starts from the inside out including eating the right foods and properly recruiting core and intrinsic muscles.
He loves to have fun and enjoys making his clients laugh during their sessions while also teaching them how to be stronger, healthier and happier.

Inside my studio you will have access to the following equipment:
Pilates (pi-LAH-teez), a movement system that uses spring driven machines as well as floor exercises to increase strength, flexibility, stamina, and concentration. Joseph H. Pilates (1883-1967) was a noted German inventor of the Pilates Exercise Method (originally called ‘Contrology) and equipment. Joseph Pilates was born in 1883 in Monchengladbach Germany. He devoted his life to the study of physical education, becoming an accomplished diver, skier, boxer, and gymnast before developing his fitness program of ‘Contrology’. He continued to teach and refine his system until his death in 1967. After his death, Clara continued teaching the work along with other first generation teachers.
“To achieve the highest accomplishments within the scope of our capabilities in all walks of life, we must constantly strive to acquire strong, healthy bodies, and develop our minds to the limit of our ability.” – Joseph H. Pilates
